What is your understanding of shape & structure?

A form is a visible shell that has certain parameters.  she is not always stabile.  Whereas the structure is the skeleton that forms the object.  Form obeys structure.

How did you work within the group?

As I was in a small group (just me and Aaron) it was easy for us to work. The most important achievement of our teamwork was joint decision making.  Thanks to this, I think, a hundred, we got a successful project.

What was the feedback you received in the group discussion?

Feedback was helpful.  The guys talked about how they see our piece, offered their options for using this hug as a public space.  We also noticed that the different use of masking tape allows you to create different textures that can show different materials used in the architecture.

How have you presented your idea in your sketchbook? What is successful?

Before creating the final version of the piece, I sketched the shape of the structure from different angles and tried to come up with an interpretation in which this object would look like an architectural object.  After giving it the final look, I tried to show the form as detailed as possible.

What would you change?

I would like to pay more attention to the initial definition of the functional purpose of the building, the concept that defines the style.

What were the challenges of writing a description of your space?

The most difficult part in the process of describing a place was to touch on everything that affected the atmosphere.  Describe sounds, tactile sensations, smells and visuals.  Only the totality of all sensations perceived by all senses can create the most detailed description.  Only this can help a person "find himself" in the described place.  It was also difficult to single out the most basic things that are most important in the description.

What strategies did you use to design your action for your partners space?

The strategy that was used in the invention of the action was this.  The most important thing, in my opinion, was somehow to change the atmosphere.  The first thing that occurred to me was to create an action that would destroy a certain structure of the room.  For a rather gloomy place with an atmosphere of mysticism, I thought of opening the curtains so that every little thing was visible.  Thus, it became clear that everything in the room is just attributes that are not dangerous. It seems to me that it is not entirely correct to describe the consequences of an action, because the author and the person who evaluates his description may have different visions of this place.

How has interrogating the course descriptions helped inform you of the options, and the objectives of each course?

Thanks to the descriptions of the opportunities on the course, descriptions of further development, what it is connected with, the survey helped to compare all these options.  Also, the comparison helped to identify the general and differences between the courses, so everyone could choose which (at this stage) suits him better. Perhaps some have only established themselves in their desire to go on a certain path.  For example, after comparing all the courses presented, I realized that the most interesting for me is the course “Architecture and spatial design”

Your thoughts about the process of gathering content. Decisions you made (material, scale). Does it function as a piece of communication?

It is known that people always measure on their own.  so I, having received a phone number, first of all thought that talking about fears would lead to the same problems that concern me (fear of losing loved ones who stayed at home, far from you).  But it was a mistake, my correspondence partner was afraid for the future.  He / she was worried about such problems as global warming, the threat of nuclear war, etc. The most important conclusion from our communication, for me personally, was the fact that "we are afraid of things we can't control."  This phrase was the starting point in my project.  I changed the pronouns and the form of the phrase, but in the end it turned out that the strongest option was “THEY ARE AFRAID OF THINGS THEY CAN’T CONTROL”.

Having started thinking about the presentation of this phrase, I thought that the main criterion would be that a person could not control the pressure, that is, it would move itself.  It seemed to me that it might be interesting to place letters on different layers of paper and so that from only one point the text would form words. Then I tried to translate the letters on paper and temporarily placed them on transparent acrylic using adhesive tape.  It turned out to be quite difficult to connect the layers, because the size of the letters was very different due to the distance at which each of the pieces was located. The very first place the tar was located was a staircase: enough people could see the inscription.  But, unfortunately, because of the lighting, this idea could not be realized.  The lamps shone on transparent layers and nothing could be made out.  After that, I found a metal beam protruding at the right height in the class, but it was located in the corner, so I had to come there to see the inscription.  But, thanks to the smaller distance between the layers, the letters better fit into words.
